A wellbeing and skills programme delivered by Newground, offering personalised job skills provision and 1:1 mentoring to participants across South Kirkby and South Elmsall.
Ways to Work (Newground) provide a person centred service to participants in South Kirkby and South Elmsall to support, mentor, encourage and inspire those furthest from the labour market to begin their journey into employment. They help people move towards successfully participating in mainstream training and employment and to step into other appropriate available support, including other employability programmes. Ongoing mentoring runs alongside a basic skills support programme which responds o the needs of the participants to enable them to access further training relevant to their aspirations the requirements of local businesses.
For each individual there is a bespoke route towards employability which will proceed at a pace they are comfortable with. Each participant has a personalised action plan – based on the “my Journey” model, which has been developed for Newgrounds other employability programmes.This provides a pathway for individuals to see where they are at the start of their engagement with the project and how far they have progressed when they leave. (baseline, mid programme review and point of exit).
